The Italian National Air Pollution Control Programme: Air Quality, Health Impact and Cost Assessment

چکیده
Air pollution is the primary environmental cause of death globally. To improve air quality and reduce health impacts, National Emission Ceilings Directive requires Member States European Union to provide Pollution Control Programmes, including emission reduction measures aimed achieve binding commitments for years 2020 2030. Integrated assessment models are pivotal assess pollutants concentrations determined by implemented or foreseen reduction. Here we discuss scenarios elaborated year 2030 in Italian Programme, considering 2010 as reference year. The two scenarios, “With Measures” Additional Measures”, show a significant concentration, namely PM2.5, NO2 O3. here also used an integrated approach calculating effect program on impacts (mortality) related costs. Avoidable attributable cases associated costs reported at both national regional level framework air-pollution with approach. procedure proposed may be therefore further developed applied overall positive benefits (environmental, economic) control plans other policies targeting quality, energy climate goals.

Population Dynamics and Air Pollution: The Impact of Demographics on Health Impact Assessment of Air Pollution
OBJECTIVE To explore how three different assumptions on demographics affect the health impact of Danish emitted air pollution in Denmark from 2005 to 2030, with health impact modeled from 2005 to 2050. METHODS Modeled air pollution from Danish sources was used as exposure in a newly developed health impact assessment model, which models four major diseases and mortality causes in addition to ...

Background: In recent years, Tehran has faced major problems with air pollution for many reasons, and this issue has become a critical point in most of the days. However, less attention has been paid to the indoor air pollutants in exercise centers and their possible health effects. In this research, it was tried to briefly describe the characteristics and chemical composition of the aerosols p...
متن کاملAssessment of urban air pollution and it's probable health impact.
The present study deals with the quantitative effect of vehicular emission on ambient air quality during May 2006 in urban area of Lucknow city. In this study SPM, RSPM, SO2, NOx and 7 trace metals associated with RSPM were estimated at 10 representative locations in urban area and one village area for control. Beside this, air quality index (AQI), health effects of different metals and mortali...
